Unesco historic centres

A few kilometres from our estates are the late Baroque wonders that are now UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Sicily, such as the Convent della Croce in Scicli or the Church of San Matteo, but also the Cathedral of Ragusa Ibla and the Cathedral of San Giorgio in Modica, a must-see for gourmets.

Take time to stroll through the alleyways and discover unique glimpses of Commissioner Montalbano's fictional Vigata. After stocking up on Modica chocolate, move towards the countryside and travel back in time, visiting the caves of the Cava Ispica archaeological park. Then be sure to dedicate a day to discovering Catania, with a trek up Mount Etna and a dip in the crystal-clear waters of Taormina.

The Sea of Sicily

A holiday in Sicily would not be complete without the sea: a few minutes' drive from our villas are the free and equipped beaches of Donnalucata, Cava d'Aliga and Sampieri, with the characteristic Fornace Penna. At the numerous Blue Flag beaches you can also enjoy water sports, such as windsurfing or diving. Follow the coast to the Vendicari Reserve, with its unspoilt beaches, and then on to Syracuse and the white Ortigia. But first stop at Marzamemi, a vibrantly coloured fishing village, and carve out some time for an almond granita in the heart of Noto, to be savoured while immersed in its Baroque richness.
